A practice prop piece ive been doing in my spare time. Hope you enjoy the blog.
Inspired by Online References and Steve Mc Queen shot gun.

So it all begins with 3 rolls of Cardboard tubing. cut in at about 10cm.

Next was cutting 2mm foam to the size that would wrap around the tubing.

I practiced on a piece of paper the design the ornating of the barrel stock.

Then i used a heat gun to heat treat it and while it was still hot. messed in the edges of a random rock to texture it. Then drew in the design and etched it with an old soldering iron.

Spray painted after with leather brown paint and highlighted with black acyrilic paint in the indentations

With a fine brush i worked carefully to paint Gold paint into the etchings. then wrapped around the barrel stock.

For the stock holder. I cut stagblanks and layered them. And before you ask why i didnt simply use wood. I dont have the tools that would give me a clean finish. So this was to the best i could do.

For the hand holder. Cardboard was layered together and cut to form and shape. Sanded to create the slight Roundness i wanted.

After that i hand drew out and followed the same procedure for the Hand stock.

Again covering with 2mm foam. Coated in Wood glue and prepped for painting.

Using Sienna and Black I tried to make it look the part

Using the same method for the Barrel Stock I made straps and hand bend 13g wire for the buckles. and Added tumb tacks to finish and highlight . I hope you enjoyed the build as much as i have had Trying to making it.
