Sideshow 12" scale ANH Vader - Anybody seen?

I saw this is up for preorder & coming out 2Q09 I think. Anybody get a good look at a prototype at any of the cons? Most of it looks pretty good to me, but the shots of the helmet are quite dark.

I'm not sure if it's the angle or lens used, but proportionaly that
Vader looks a little short.

Based on the photos I saw the helmet on this one is horrible. It looks like a mirror image and from the side its just way off

Is it just me or does Vader's head look huge? Maybe it's because he's on the short side.

Y'know what would totaly put this over the top? A David Prowse head under there, and Apple Tabs on top of the facemask! I'm such a geek!

It's not really a figure for me. Nice, but not accurate enough. I'm in the progress of doing a Dave Prowse head for my own figure... hope it turns out even slightly recognizable.

Thanks for the vote of confidence... though... my track-record of not having finished even one piece yet is kinda working against me. Facial likenesses really takes time to nail and are so easy to mess up... so I'm in awe of those guys who can nail it right out of the go.

But... just realized... I shouldn't really be promoting myself in a thread about the Sideshow Vader... that's kinda improper, so I'll step down now.

Still like the Marmit better.

I would love to preorder this, but Sideshow's releases are never the same looking as their promotional pictures. I'm very disappointed in the Boushh figure. In the promotional pictures, the helmet looks dead on to the real helmet, but the actual release is no where near the actual helmet - paint wise or sculpting wise. The cape is a different material as well and it looks like the pants are different also. i will have to wait for this Vader to see how much he differs before i order one.
