I was wondering if there were any article/ builds out there on how to modify the MPC kit to an accurate replica of the shuttle :love

The MPC kit is based on the full size mock up for ROTJ i believe.
Its a bit...tubbier? lol
The actual filming mini was a lot sleeker in design, i bought the Hasbro re re of the toy and that was reputed to be very close to the mini as Kenner way back when had access to the studio prop, so ive read anyways!

I was under the understanding that the cockpit area was the incorrect angle and some other minor stuff. I remember someone reworking one not too long ago but never bookmarked it:redface

You know what? I'm the father of that baby! I made all the modifications and superdetailing on the Lambda Shuttle (and added the lights too).

But that was some 15 years ago!

Hola spinner q tal?
Pues soy un fan de tu trabajo!!!!

Lastima que no se hagan mas cosas de estas en revistas Españolas!
Aparte de los articulos publicados en Euromodelismo, has publicado mas cosas de SW?compartirías info?:redface

Hi Spinner how are you!
I´m your fan!!!!!:lol

Try the book: A GALAXY FAR AWAY by Matthew Usher. It has an article on the Shuttle Tydirium released by MPC/Ertl. Hope that helps your project.

Great book, but in the article regarding the Tydirium Mr. Usher states his modifications were only meant to enhance the kit and were not intended to be accurate. His modifications do improve the look of the kit tremendously, and I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for simple tips on how to enhance their own kits. Advanced modelers probably won't learn much, but amateur modelers like me need all the help we can get. :D
