SHOWOFF: RS Prop Masters "HDPE" Replica Stormtrooper Stunt Helmet

The paint stuck verry good on the helmet material. I use a special primer for plastic and the white is a 2 component basic paint. The paint is verry strong and the flakes or chipps are made with color stop :) For the details i use the humbrol color list.

What kind of special primer did you use?

I've painted some part of PP, primed also with "Kunststoffhaftvermittler", hope the color will stay und dont flake or chip ... :rolleyes

What the heck is "color stop"? :$

I use caparol allgrund, the bases suitable for almost all. And color stop is a latex color, it prevents the actual color of materials contakt (masking fluid :)

:love That's is one very sweet looking helmet. Very well executed indeed. It really looks like an original, epic. We are currently painting a handful too, will post them when finished. We have been chatting about flame treating them, with some excellent feedback from Keegan and we are about to show the process and result.

Re the vac holes, that is correct, all the small holes were drilled in the original spots. We traced them from the original and via the impressions left from the casting process :love

Looks fantastic, But i cant help but wonder how long until profiles gets one of these and lists it as screen used.

The honor and thanks to Rob and Simom heard! Without this guys, no super akkurat Stormtrooper helmet ;) I've just built and painted it... I'm looking forward to the helmets of the other owners and RS flame treating helmet :) Wonder whether the influence of status on sharpness by flame treating...?
