This was a commissioned project I recently completed. This is the Lord Marshal’s helmet from the movie “chronicles of Riddick”. From what I am told ( and I am far from an expert on the subject) this was cast off of a pre-production made helmet. My job was to clean/prep the casting and paint it to match the screen-used movie prop.

Unfortunately the helmet was a very poor casting with numerous air bubbles in the resin, in addition to this it was cracked in half during shipping. It took extensive sanding, putty and rebuilding to complete the helmet. I also cut the face section off and reattached it with rare-earth magnets. Unfortunately the dome section had to be sanded down during the repair process, which required me to re-etch the textured detail. The paint job used over 15 different colors of paint.

And here's the finished helmet...

That is brilliant, really well done, loved the props in this movie, this helmet in particular i thought was a great design

Frakking BRILLIANT. :thumbsup :thumbsup

From one of my all-time favorites.

Yup, that's the pre-production version. Slightly different than the screen-used, with the most obvious difference being the rear face. The original was sculpted by Miles Teves (as was the screen-used version).

IIRC we had a British member that bought the pre-pro and made casts from it.

Excellent paint job.

Excellent job! That looks great! I always thought that was a very cool helmet.
