I just received these awesome Jason masks from patsmear. Excellent work. The pics don't do them justice......

The set:

Part 3:

Part 4:

Part 5:

Jason vs. Freddy:

Doh - I read the title wrong.

Those are some great looking hocks - I agree, get some leather straps and put them on. All you need is a Jason X and you'll have virtually the entire series on display.

I have a few of these myself and I can attest to their quality and craftsmanship.

Pat did a great job on these :)

I hate to burst your bubble, but that's not a "vs." mask. The "vs" mask was a different style and was tannish in color. It does look nice though.

Color depends on lighting sometimes. And the style looks right to me. :unsure

Jedifyfe: Excellent costume. Did you make those latex parts that show of his body or were they existing costume parts you just modified to look more Jason-like?

Thank you. With those boots on I stand 6'4"-6'5". As for the latex, I did both. I have a tutorial if you want me to e-mail it to you.

my jason mask...

it's not really a major showpiece though. it's one of those $3 halloween masks that i reworked to look good enough for a jason costume. heated up and reshaped it, filled the holes that didn't belong, drilled the holes out that were missing, painted it with a few coats of primer and a few coats of automotive gloss white, then did the triangles and dirt, and replaced the crappy straps with less crappy ones :)

i should have rounded out the eyes more too, but this was an experiment. i've got a couple more of the cheap-o masks to play around with, so eventually i'll get it right.

Heres a mask i sculpted/painted for the HMA back in 2000.

The teeth are hand set dental acylic teeth.

It always bugged me that Jason gets his eye and most of his skin back in the movies after Pt. VII. How'd he lose the eye in the first place?

Great mask BTW ;) .

Seth

The left eye probably went when he got hit with the machete on the left side of the head at the end of part 4. It went clean through the side of the head up to the nose area. But yeah, by Jason Vs. Freddy he had both eyes going strong.

I always wondered why the PArt 7 doesn't have one of the eyes lower than the other..??... I wish they would've been a little more congruent.
