Show off thread: Upgraded Boba Fett ESB blaster - now with real MPP tube

It's a while since I showed off any of my props!

I originally built this five years ago but recently upgraded the clamps/mounts and square stock plates to something that looks a little more accurate. Also swapped out the resin AM plugs with real ones. I also really wanted to swap the Heyland flash tube for one of my real MPPs, but I can't get to them right now

Hand-Schaub bronze Webley with open/close action (static trigger unfortunately)
Real MPP tube
Real ASI 4x20
Correct 1/2" scope rings
Real Molex plugs
Real AM plugs
Real Revel v8 connecting rods and vibration damper pulleys
Stormrider square stock plates
Sidewinder scope mounts
Ogibendogy sling

The pics below still show some of the old parts. Last post has new pics.

If you're wondering why I only put 3 AM plugs on the stock, it's because I always liked this picture!

I like it. I like the grip, overall finish, and the strap width and thickness. Any chance you could lower the scope bracket height? If I were you, I'd pull that barrel out one more centimeter too.

Just for conversation's sake on the missing greeblie, it looks like the blaster was largely intact for the Bespin torture chamber hallway scenes and first appearance on the Star Destroyer bridge (separate shooting events because different actors reported that they manned the suit on different days for those scenes). The right receiver greeblie usually held strong but didn't make it to the "refreshments" reveal scene. The left front stock greeblie and right rear scope mount didn't get any screen time for the carbon freeze chamber scene so screen accuracy would demand you rip that right rear molex off too, haha :angel. Nice job dude!

Thanks for the tips. I'll try to lower the scope bracket height and will extend the tube by 1cm. I did notice the other missing greeblies in photos but decided to keep them on

I'm still not 100% happy with the barrel clamps though and would still love to know what you used. I have been completely unable to find tension spring clamps of the correct style in less than 2" diameter. :unsure

I'm not sure they are clamps exactly.
The front one has two threaded posts sticking out the bottom, they aren't tabs. The thing is bolted on.
