Shawshank tree damaged in storm

Fun Fact: For The Shawshank Redemption (1994), American Humane Association monitored the filming of scenes involving Brooks' crow. During the scene where he fed it a maggot, the AHA objected on the grounds that it was cruel to the maggot, and required that they use a maggot that had died from natural causes. One was found, and the scene was filmed.

I'm in Dayton, Ohio, so it was 2 1/2 hours. Saw the court room, the lumber company, the cabin, the bank, the tree, the reformatory, the bus station, the road into 'Buxton', the road the bus is seen driving down, the half way house, the park where Brooks fed the pigeons, the street with the pawn shop and where Brooks almost gets hit by the car.

It was a great trip. I did it in two days, traveled at my own pace.
