Yes, Captain Quirk is showing up on American Pickers. New episode, Monday the 14th at 9PM EST on History Channel.

Advance word is that he recruits Mike and Frank to scout out items to decorate his Kentucky home with.

The trailer for the new episode doesn't show Shatner in full. The best shot you see is the back of his head but it's him. There's also a shot of the guys wondering if they're WWWAAAAYYYY over their heads this time!

Like him or hate him, Shatner is an icon. That can be very intimidating to a lot of people. Of course, for people like me who are NOT intimidated, it'll be interesting to see him in his "natural environment."

Sort of like watching hyenas "laugh" or chimps flinging or eating their own poo.

I'm sure they were briefed on how to act in his awesome presence!

Should be fun to watch!

I heard he's actually really down to earth. I met a few people when i was in lexington who had bumped into him in the areas near his farm.

That was a fun episode. I guess the Shat really soes not pay attention to the show if he or his wife were assuming that they could decorate for them as well. He seemed to really like that mill stone.

Yeah - I suspect his agent booked him on the show - he's repped at CAA - no idea if American Pickers has people there as well - but more than likely..

I wonder what happened to American Restoration , that guy who Rick from Pawn Stars takes his stuff to to get cleaned up - they had like 4 shows and poof.

I wondered that too. That guy turned junk into gold. Maybe Chum destroyed the shop lol. Shatner's agent probably heard he wanted some antiques and arranged this. Personally i'd rather handle it myself if i was rich but it's good publicity. I'm waiting for my ex chiropractor to get a show. He sells tiffany lamps and such to rich folks. His autograph/photo books is amazing. Anyhow I hate to say it but out of all these reality shows on History American Pickers is the best.

I like it too - it used to be i was addicted to Pawn Stars but there's too much set up for Chumly now and I personally don't think the dude is all that funny. I laugh at the Old Man more than I do anyone else - but I suppose that's just taste.

The old man is more entertaining. I think the show has always been a setup for Chum. I hate that damn logging show and the trucking show. They're almost as bad as that group of yahoos on discovery channel trying to find gold. I think they go for the most obnoxious people they can get on tv to make it look interesting.

Ghost Hunting Little People Picker Alaskan Pilots is what I'm waiting for.

Make it happen History Channel!!!!

Shatner came off like your neighbor, wearing a toupee.

Annyoying Star Trek jokes by the hosts. Never quite heard Uhura's name pronounced like that.

It seemed to me to be all about pleasing his wife. I bet she is a fan of their show and he arranged it for her. everything was really mostly about what she wanted and there were a few tell tale signs that it was all to make her happy. I doubt he really gave a darn about being on the show. He played well and seemed quite cordial though.

Too bad that he did not want them to track down a toilet worthy of Captain Kirk for his new house.

You know i bet if you could get the license for it a TOS command chair shaped toilet would sell. It would take up alot of space but it could have a radio and all sorts of stuff in the arm rests :lol
