Season 1 & Season 2 Lost in Space silver suits.

As I gagged down the viewing of year 2 Lost in Space episodes, I DID notice a change in the silver material used in the space suits. In year 1, they seemed to be a stiff metallic material sewn over a stiff starched material. In later years, it seemed to be a silver fabric instead of the metal film.

Does anyone know about this?

From what I recall the first season suits were actually fire-proof race car driver suits.

Could the later suits be silver lamé?

I think they were going for a "realistic" Mercury astronaut type of suit in the early version

i have always loved this show and those silver costumes. I missed out this year on getting a halloween costume version of this suit on the bay. I really would love to get on of those for this year.
