Searching for Helmet Stand bases

Okay, I have a source on styrofoam half spheres from a wig supplier, but does anyone know where these circular bases can be found in bulk? Buying them for $30+ apiece on E-Bay racks up quick when they look like wholesale display components that can be modified into nice helmet stands.

prolly not what youre looking for, but have you tried metal paper towel holders? I use one on my vader helmet and it holds nice and sturdy

I've just been using these 3.99 wooden paper towel holders from the local Family Dollar store. I leave the little wooden knob off the top and just jam a regular foam wig head down on the shaft. They look fairly nice, and if they break, they're cheap enough to just toss out and get a new one.

This one works splendidly. I have a TK helmet on one of these right now. It has a good solid weight to it and I just took a chunk of foam, cut a slit in it and slid the slit down over that curly doo-dad on the top. It has a far better weight to it than the MR stands.
