I posted this in the revirew thread in Studio Scale, but thought some of you who don't check out that section might like to see these

The Landspeeder is Lorne's recreation of the model used in the long shot where the Tusken Raiders are shooting at Luke & 3PO from the cliff

The Death Star Tiles are recreations of the mid size tiles

After the raking over the coals this set got in the other thread, I'll say I'm pretty pleased. The set even came with a $50 Sideshow gift card.

I am thinking of getting this....do you think that its worth the extra cost ?
would love an honest answer....(talking about the delux edition)..besides the props...how are the pics ....

There is a mixed review on the picks - There are quite a few I haven't seen before, but I guess some of the studio scale guys find them lacking. I was pretty thrilled with getting reproductions of the original prop bits made by the guy who was there in '76. I pre-ordered mine from overstock last May when it was still $250, so with the models, the gift certificate, the signature & the whole package I'm pretty happy with it overall, Don't know that it's worth $400, but if you can get it cheaper...

One thing, I dunno what you use for resizing images, but it seems that all you have are pretty banged up. Staircasing/blocking and all.

Saving bandwidth is one thing but I'd just like to see that detail on the speeder. Even your sign is pretty gone.

No offence, but just a remark from a HDTV freak.
