Screen-matched Tantive IV TK Helmet

You are!!! And then take lots of photos and loan it out to people, like me!

It's always nice to see screen used pieces still in very good condition.
Now hang on, while I go get some lotto tickets.

Holy Cow. This thing has been well kept. I've noticed a few things about the faceplate that seems to confirm my suspicions about the mold.

Notice how there are no chips in the teeth? What you got there is the early pulls of the 50 stunts!

It also seems AA had difficulty pulling it off the buck, as evident by the stretched tubes. Learn as you go for him I think.

The cap and back is a little soft. RS propmasters definitely have a sharper pull for theirs. Makes me think AA pulled as many as possible and didn't keep them together with the faceplate, but just had a large pile of the two parts and assembled them, which makes sense as workflow management.

Whoever buys this beautiful helmet or gets to see it personally at the auction, PLEASE take as much pictures as possible and post them...

Here’s a pic from this year’s Celebration. I was lucky enough to see it in person. The textured/warty finish really stands out in person.

Thanks for the picture! Gorgeous! Just how I love them...warty!
Only Trooper helmets of course... ;)

I felt a disturbance in the force when he said the damage on top was from him shoving it in an overhead storage on a plane.

So cool to see the actor alive and well today.

My favorite part of this video was hearing how exciting and proud he was of himself while going through the scrap book

Seems like a really nice man, anyone know the exact scene he’s talking about where Tarkin waves him off?

Did that ever make the film? I can’t seem to remember

Love his hair style back then

He has a pic of him walking by when Han or Luke waves someone off the elevator so maybe that's what he is talking about?

Syd seems such a great guy, I think I would have preferred this helmet to have remained in Syd's hands till this day, the current owner doesn't really deserve it. And him offering it to Syd for $100000 in the auction, I felt it was kinda out of place, even if he wanted to sound like a joke... But we live in a world driven by money, so it is understandable.

Have to agree with the comments above, comes across as a very nice, humble guy.
I’m surprised if he’s on the convention scene he isn’t more aware of the impact props like these have.
Slight thread drift, but there’s a great tongue in cheek ‘investigation’ on YouTube (search: The Empire Strikes Door) where the hunt is on to find the stormtrooper actor who banged his head in A New Hope. There’s several guys who claim to be ‘that stormtrooper’.
