Hey folks,

yesterday the wife saw a documentary on "Arte" about "classification of extraterrestrial lifeforms in science fiction."

Several clips of old Scifi-movies were shown, a lot of them new to me.

Now, one clip stood out, with a well made death (ray) scene, see attachments.

Anybody know the title of that movie?

Michael

Sorry, but as much as I´d love to have that link stay up, it´s a no-go. Although it looks legit, there are movies on there that are less than 70 years old, and are definitely protected by world wide copyrights. I can´t find anything on that site about copyrights and legality, so it had to be removed.

The same unfortunately applies to the Youtube link :(

I have a weird 15 minute 16mm version of it that loses nothing in the edit. Literally.
Laffo.

To me the swimming pool scene is the essence of that movie :lol

A girl disintegrated in a swimming pool?!?? That's disgusting!

They'll never get her out of their filter!

I saw that movie on TV when I was a young kid and although it didn't scare me when I watched it, it did in the end. That night I couldn't sleep in the dark as every time I saw something in the room that was light colored I saw a skeleton in my mind so I had to sleep with the light on. I did this for close to 3 years before I could sleep with the light off again. The last time I saw this movie I laughed at how bad it was so I guess I had finally out grown it.:lol

Anyone else pronounce the era as described in this thread title, "Fifty-ies?"

I'm a child of the sixty-ies, all I know about the fifty-ies is what I've seen in crappy movies like this one.

No, I demand that you all pronounce it "Fifties" :p

Alright, alright, title changed :rolleyes ;)

Well, now we know when the aliens arrive, we just need to make shields made out of calcium.
