Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..
1. who cares? we all have a past.
2. and? if the original production company has an issue, it can be dealt with in that arena.
3. let this be dealt with between the customer and business. I've had issues as well. I've won several lawsuits (against both major corporations and individuals), so if there truly is an issue, people can go to court, get their money and not just rant about it on the internet.
4. sucks for them, but how does this impact YOUR life? I've lost money and received shoddy products from several companies. I've handled it.
5. several of my comments have been removed from this thread. what's the difference? other people who have defended him have been removed from this site (which I anticipate in the near future). I posted on Grifter's facebook page and (surprise) my comment was deleted. again I will ask, what's the difference?
I didn't avoid any questions if you read my original replies thoroughly.
Wow.... Right off the bat you score....NOT.
1. Who Cares....I do. As someone who has a bit of Law enforcement in my background, yes we all have a past, and we have a phrase for guys like David, Repeat Offender.
2. The original production company has zero to do with this issue. You claim to have gone to school for law, let me explain this in a simpler scenario for you. You have written a thesis for your degree, Student B finds it on the printer and makes a copy. Student B turns in the Thesis under his name and receives his degree. Does that seem fair to you? You did all that hard work and someone else took it and got credit for it. This is the issue. The op spent time and money to make that helmet, hours of sculpting the clay, making the mold, and taking a risk that it would fail. David bought a copy second hand and poured silicone on it and now claims the work as his own.
3. It is very hard for them to work things out when he ignores emails, and deletes comments from customers asking where their order is. Which by the way, If you have covered law is considered Breach of Contract.
4. Friends are people you care for and stick up for. That is how this affects me, not to mention the fact that he tried to weasel 2 dyesub patterns out of me. Oh yeah, lets not forget the attempted bullying of me that backfired and got his website suspended.
5. The difference is simple, No one here owes you money or product. This thread exists to warn others away from a bad seller. As for Grifters page I couldn't say. Does he owe you anything?
As for avoiding questions, you do. These were asked just today and in none of your ramblings have you addressed them.

So now, it looks like you did know about his issues with the previous incarnation of Sniktshop, aka outlawprodux aka Dave produx.
And you choose to ignore or lie about it.
And the "people in many industries have a similar business practice" comment, are you referring to recasting or just not
sending people what they paid for.
You never did answer my questions regarding recasting.
And stop sidestepping and dancing around the 2 main issue. That tactic is all too familiar.
I think with your reply, you lost a lot of creditability.
Based on your FB post about the purse snatching, you have a sense of right and wrong.
So, i will break the issues down in simple terms:
Is it right or wrong to take $ and not deliver on the product?
Is it right or wrong to take someone else's work and make a knockoff for your own profit?
Simple yes or no and stop dancing around the issue.
Grifter asked this
However in addition to all of your questions, I'll add more:
1) Is it okay for a business to hack into another business's page, gathering information, messaging customers, deleting orders and trying to ruin or poach their business?
2) Is it okay for a person to make an enormous lie to slander a person, that affects their family, even their unborn child, and then to spread that story?
3) Is it okay to verbally and physically abuse women? (Because Jim has)
4) Is it okay for Snikt Shop to steal other people's work to use as the "base" for their own orders time and time again, profiting off of other people's hard work?
