Soooo it's been way more than a couple weeks and after a few more brush offs and then complete silence from this guy I've had enough. Luckily for me I'm a California resident and the court system lets you file your case online (yaay!). I used to live in NoHo and I'm down there a lot so it's no big deal for me to swing by for a court date or two. I'm also commissioning a costume from a reputable person who is HUGE in the cosplay community. I mentioned to her I was having some trouble getting my product/money back from this guy and she asked who it was so she can spread the word to her contacts not to use him. I only brought it up in passing but it was nice to see how appalled she was at everything that he's been doing.

I'm surprise he would scam someone in his own state. You know the saying " Don't **** where you sleep."
Well, just a little heads up.
Per his standard method of dealing with victims who post on here:
You should be receiving a lot of msg from him offering free stuff or what not, to drop your case / claim.
And if you accept, it will be the same old song and dance later on, when your free stuff does not arrived.
And by that time, your claim / case has been dropped and difficult to re-file / claim.
The more people knows about this scammer , the better.

so a few things...... I am kinda disgusted with Bat in the sun I know numerous people have talked to Aaron telling him that winnant is a scammer. How many people probably got burned by logan last time he had something massively advertised? (captain america vs. master chief) I know at least two or three of my friends who saw the armor and bought it and got burned. So here is Aaron and bat in the sun which are ENABLING him to scam people by show casing his work and not caring because they are get free props at the cost of advertising a scam artist. Further more I've been putting him on blast on Instagram with the tags #jimloganscam #loganpropsscam #jimloganscamartist #loganprops and #sniktshop I had some success because he made his account private which was a win because he couldn't lure new followers to see "his" art also he message my buddy (i don't know why) but claimed that I would have my stuff at the end of the year. ( i commissioned a red hood helmet and deadpool suit) ironically he's sending out red hood helmets(which looks to be a recast of gcfx's merc mask) but not to the person who commissioned him. he's given the same old speech blah blah blah when i'm famous, blah blah blah people are jealous, blah blah blah haters hate me

If this image is all I'm given to go by, there are way too many differences in the shapes to call it a recast. Orbits, nose, cheekbones, ear, chin, jawline -- if anything, I would call it a new sculpt "based on" the Wolfram... but that's nothing to get upset about, is it? After all, most of what we do and discuss here is resculpting, isn't it?

I'm not defending (nor assailing) him, but if you want to add a new transgression to a list of his misdeeds, IMO this doesn't qualify.

He could have always smoothed out the Wolfram mask and made slight changes, but I have to agree with the others. As big of a dbag as this guy is, I can't justify calling him out on something that's not certain.

Most of "Loganprops, "Jim Logan" Winate's victims are out of state or country.
It is very hard to file a small claims against someone not in the same state.
But if you are a Californian, not currently residing in state, you can file a claim online.
If the above info is not correct, plz let me know.

Did you use Paypal for your purchase?
If so, the time frame to file a dispute is now 180 days, about 6 months.
If you used a cc through Paypal , the time frame of dispute could be longer, depending on your bank/cc co.

It's without a doubt a recast with additional details added, but it's GCFX hero/ Villain mask. It is similar to my Mur'ks because it was made by the same artist (myself), over the same form (a cast of my large head). I've been told about this guy and someothers reworking off the GCFX mask for a couple years (I believe I had a direct exchange with him or one of his co-horts about this mask this past year, I forget). I think it's sad that people do slight revisions to stuff and act like they made it 100% fresh, and will hold onto that lie for dear life till you say "well, I'm the original designer & sculptor, and I got photo's of it in clay".

Oh, my gosh. The more I read about this topic around the internet, the more fascinated and disgusted I become with the idea of "recasters." Especially since I've put so much time and energy into my own projects. I can't imagine someone recasting my work—how terrible.

Yeah man, recasters suck. Some try to change minor details to "make it their own" even though it is still clearly someone else's work, other don't even do that. Be vigilant with your work, and who you sell it to.

Hey, thanks for sharing my post! I just registered to say thanks to everyone here. I linked you guys in that post and included a lot of the information you'd already compiled.

If any of you are also victims of this guy and have a minute, I encourage you to please post a comment on the blog post and share your experiences. The more voices the better.

By the way, he finally answered me-- TODAY, just after I published the post, after six months of silence. I included screenshots at the bottom of the post. He's trying to intimidate me and it's kind of hilarious.
