I remenber seeing this Ad. for 'SLIM JIM' inside of old various magazines including 'Esquire'
Back in the late 70's..
The Ad. for this was done up by none other than 'The Great' sketch artist
'Jack Davis'. Born in 1924. He is famous for doing comical satire characters like the above Dracula. You can see much of his other work in old Mad magazine. He even did the art for the Mad magazine board game and card game. 'Both, I still have'. Not to mention, he's one of my favorite artists.
I got the above still, from his book, titled 'The Art of Jack Davis'
Anyway, I thought that this toothy fella would make a nice 'obscure' latex mask/bust..
What do you think?... I really could'nt decide on the right color scheme for him.
Here, he is pictured in more of a tinge green paint tone. Next, I thought of going with a 'Dawn of the Dead' Blue or maybe just plain white flesh.
