Rutger Hauer's TAG Heuer in "Split Second"

After we discussed Steve McQueen's TAG Heuer watch in "Bullitt", it made me think about Rutger Hauer's watch in "Split Second".

I know it was a Stainless Steel TAG Heuer with a black rubber (or leather) strap. I just don't know the model number. I'm guessing it was a "Professional" 1000, 1500, or 2000.

You can see the watch when he's in the nightclub on the pay phone.

Any ideas? :confused

BTW, the reason I'm asking is because my current watch is nearing replacement. I LOVE TAGs, but have never owned one because of the cost.

If I can get an older used TAG from the era of Split Second (1992-ish) I could probably actually afford one and have a movie prop, too! It's a "TWO-FER"! :cool

is it possible to get a screen cap? i have a book about tag heuer watches now. so if i could see it i could probably help more.

I've got the VHS somewhere... I could take a pic of the screen, probably.

I can't afford $100 for the DVD, though.

I'm pretty sure it's a "Professional", I just don't know if it's a 1000, 1500, 2000, 4000, etc.

Looks to be a "discontinued" Professional 2000 model from the early 90s with a black leather strap! :thumbsup
