RotJ Luke Skywalker

Hey everyone,

Thought I'd create a thread on these forums to note progress on my Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker costume.

Thus far, I've acquired the English-styled Equestrian boots, the Master Replica V2 lightsaber and (with a lot of help from a local friend) finished the belt. I've also purchased and styled a wig, since my hair is a bit too thin and receding ;) The 'soft parts' of the costume are currently being sewn by a local seamstress.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

* Note, the pouch is about an 1" too long for the canon version. The camera doesn't show the weather detail on the buckle, either.

And me with my wig. Naturally, I'll need to shave the beard for the part. I'm wearing my Dooku tunic in this photograph.

You look pretty wasted in that pic, haha. I am loving the belt you've got going. I had my suit made by a member here out of the most accurate stuff he could find. I don't have any closeups, but I feel like he came really close.

PM me some info on that belt!

I know my 'belt' is too low, but I was in a hurry taking these.

Hah, thanks for the comment. Someone said to me, "you look like a burned-out member of the Beatles!" That's what I get for taking it in the middle of the night ;)

And I love the costume you have going thus far. Making the belt isn't too difficult, really. The most difficult part was cutting the buckle to that octogan shape.

I know of a few good leatherworkers if you are still in need of a belt, The Batman. Looks very good both of you :D

Thank you :)

Just retrieved the boots from the shoe repair store downtown: had the tops trimmed down to be flat instead of the curved style it was previously.

I should get the rest of my costume this week. So, stay tuned :)

Some additional progress has been made . . .

The sleeves will be shortened and narrowed, but you get the idea.
