Rose and Paige Tico necklace material info needed

I recently got my first 3D printer as a Father’s Day gift. I started off with a simple project and did the Tico pendants. I want to replicate the material of each necklace used by each sister. Paige seems to use a thin leather cord, and Rose appears to use some sort of cording. Does anyone know:

  • materials used
  • length
  • types of knots / fasteners
  • any other material or details

Thank you.

I think it is just a loop in both cases- no clasp. The ends probably crimped and disguised by the collar/barrel above the medallion.

Seeing the pictures large, on the computer, you can see they are both cord. I uploaded from the phone...

Thanks.

I seen images but I was hoping someone had some previous research such as cord color, length, diameter.

Rose used what looks to be a silver cord in TLJ and a leather cord in TROS. The image above appears to be a display at Disney.

The images I posted are from TLJ book, so would be accurate for that film.

Both appear to be waxed cord to me. You should be able to work out the size by scaling against your prints.

The Disney (or wherever) display picture you posted looks to be a silver wire. I don’t recall the two sliders in TLJ (from my memory when she throws it to the code breaker… it seemed simple and flexible, like a cord.

Back in 2018 I made a design and 3D printed it in brass from Shapeways:

As best I can tell the cord used in the movie was a stainless steel braided cable. It was quite stiff, which you can see in some of the behind the scene shots when she tosses the necklace. I bought some of the proper cord, and it is NOT comfortable to wear.

I opted for a twisted chain necklace instead.

That was my take as well. My main goal was for something my daughter might wear and I didn’t think she would go for something that inflexible so I opted for a silver fabric cord.
