A colleague of mine, Ed Eyth, was the concept designer for several SF films and TV shows from the 80s and 90s. He is selling concept art he did for the Rocketeer film on eBay. He's got this gorgeous top view of the Rocketeer listed now...more to come soon, according to his auction.

I have to say Ed is a fantastic guy. I have had the pleasure of getting to know him. His work in film is quite amazing. I met him after I picked up a large scale lighting model used for flight of the navigator. He was the one who laid out the design concept for the ship. I was able to get a great piece of art from him to go with the ship. A companion piece if you will. On top of that he also signed a plaque to go with my ship, with a personal note and quick sketch of the ship on it.

For anyone who love original art from films I could not recommend any one else more. I hope this rocketeer piece goes to a good home.

Agreed, I've never met a nicer person. I'm impressed not only by his skill as an artist, but by his humility.
