Hi all!
I've been lurking for awhile and deciding what I wanted to attempt with the pile of stuff I've been gathering since I already knew I wanted some sort of armored character. I'm looking to do a foam/fiberglass build and incorporate LED lights as well.
Now, why Rocket Red? Because I like the under rated characters and everyone is doing Iron Man. Not that there's anything wrong with that :confused
On top of my foam and bags of tuperware/LED strings/toys/other misc junk I have been sifting through comics and Google Images for which RR suit I wanted. I decided on this one:
Sorry for the size, Photobucket doesn't seem to want to resize images while changing their site layout :darnkids
The helmet, chest/backpiece and codpice all seem very straightforward and I'm sure I can handle the boots and shoulders as well. Here's where I could use a hand...the segmented arm and leg pieces.
Could anyone point me in the right direction to achieve that look but retain mobility? I'm thinking thin foam stips painted with plasti-dip attached to form fitting leggings and arm pieces?
Either way, thanks for looking at this and please, please, PLEASE feel free to comment away! Even if you think it's a bad idea, tell me! I'll never learn otherwise :rolleyes
