I just posted this on Facebook:

Two thumbs down. I remember watching 'At the Movies' as a kid... it was the internet movie critiquing way before the internet had us geeks debating the merits of movies. I didn't always agree with their movie reviews but I liked watching Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel talk about movies and it had me enjoy my movie going experience even more. So... as I said, this latest development get two thumbs down.

I just heard about it myself. R.I.P. Mr. Ebert. You and Mr. Siskel will always get two thumbs up from me. :(

RIP Roger Ebert.

"So on this day of reflection I say again, thank you for going on this journey with me. I'll see you at the movies." - Roger Ebert

"No good film is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.”

RIP. I didn't agree with a lot of his reviews, but I did respect the guy completely. It's a sad, sad day.

Really sad to lose him.:( Every movie I saw until 1986 was in the same theater where they filmed his and Gene's show opening. I watched them every week until I cut the signal.
RIP Roger

I was sad to read the news that his cancer had come back. This is sad to read only a day later. May he be at peace now.

Quality reviews, and a guy passionate about films. Thanks for all the advise Mr. Ebert, we'll keep watching!

RIP Roger... I always enjoyed you and Gene on "At the Movies" when I was younger... though I still can't believe that you gave Die Hard a thumb down. Godspeed.

I always loved and respected his views and his writing, especially when I disagreed with him. His best reviews were the sarcastic ones. I always loved his review of National Treasure.

Here's a great video of some "At the movies" outtakes where Siskel and Ebert make fun of each other going to McDonald's. Uses the F word so probably not safe for work:
