I'm trying to find out more about this compass. Does anyone know the brand, country of origin, or a time period for this compass?
I've found antique German compasses that are very similar with the same background, but none with the right pointer.

Can a compass enthusiast point in the right direction?

I was able to find 4 of these on eBay, and got one, but none of them listed the maker or country of origin (still thinking France because of the O instead of the W), if I find out more from physically seeing it when it arrives I'll post here.

This is the one I ended up getting, each of them had a slight issue but this one seemed to be the best out of what was available. They were all pretty old and worn looking.

Actually I hadn't realized this, but the country of origin could be Spain also. Seems that Ouest = West in French and Oeste = West in Spanish. Richard was exiled from the Canary islands which is Spanish speaking, so if they wanted to be very authentic with the compass in the show, this would make sense.
