Hello,
I received the JmTwo CIC emblem and just fell in love with it ! He did such a great job on the measurements and the lettering that there were just a few things that needed to be done to get it perfect.
There are a few things to get this PERFECT to the original. Jmtwo did a great job of setting us up with 85% perfection, now I just want to get it to 99% accuracy !
1. The paint job on the fiery chicken needs to be accurized.
2. The weathering needs more ...well, weathering.
3. That dang mid crack needs to be fixed !
First thing first...I ran to Michaels and grabbed a few acrylic tubes and some cheapy $3 brushes. They had a strathmore paint pad for sale at $5 so I picked that up to.
I went to town on my first acrylic painting but having messed with spray paints, how hard could it be...well...that was an understatement.
After a few tries, I got what I think is the second to last practice job I want for the bird. As you can see, I had a few practice paintings but I am pleased with the last job.
I cut it out in the last pic and placed on the CIC...looks like a good fit !
Next up...the wings !
