I just happen to come across this too. Very sad indeed. :(

He was also a part of my childhood.
 
I was a manager at Tony Romas for years and in the very early 1980s they opened some locations in Hawaii. As part of the opening promotions local celebs were intived out to dine and for PR. All the Romas I worked at in Texas had a big 11x14 B&W photo of him eating ribs with a blonde Farrah-harred waitress serving him another plate of food.

I always thought it was the most random thing.
 
I loved him the Battle of the Bulge!

I remember most of these shows as repeats in the early 80s as a kid, I'd watch them on sunday mornings after church. Seems like all the good actors are going.
 
Well, not everyone that gets banned is a sock puppet...and he seemed pretty cool to me, but that is not what this thread is about. From talking to him offline, seems he just said to much. The tongue is a hard thing to control. You gotta play by the rules, gents.
