Don't know if anyone has posted these links before, but I thought it pays to share info anyway.
I work as a graphic artist for a promotional products company and many times we must reproduce a specific look or font for a client. There are a couple of decent websites to use when looking for fonts.
First, [WIKI]http://www.identifont.com/[/WIKI] is great for looking up a font by appearance, name, or similarity to other fonts.
Second is [WIKI]http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/[/WIKI], which is most useful for those of us with scanned samples or decent resolution digital images of fonts. You can upload a file from your hard-drive (or other location) and whatthefont.com is (about 75% of the time) able to tell you what the font is. If you're graphics savvy there is even a section for entering your own custom sample text. This has been handy for us in making screen-grabs of letters/words and then redrawing a font by hand in an editing program (like Adobe CS).
I'm not affiliated with either of these websites, by the way. Just passing on a few resources that might be useful to fellow rpf-ers. Hope you guys find them useful!
