Repo Men any good?

I'm getting ready to "pay per view" this flick. Sounds neat. Is it any good? Should I waste my time?

Which version? New with Jude Law, or the cult version with Emilio Estevez? Haven't seen the new one, but the classic kicks ass.

I'd be interested to know what you think.

I loved it, still love it but saw it when it came out. It's definitely something crafted from a certain time period.

I think at least a couple of those answers were about Repo Man (1984) directed by Alex Cox. I'm kind of curious about the Jude Law movie, Repo Men (2010), myself.

I liked the remake of Repo Men. It's not a particulary deep story, but it's entertaining and the ending had a nice twist to it as well.

Watch the original that Repo Men was ripped off of; The Genetic Opera: REPO
It's 1million times better.
REPO; The Genetic Opera IMDB (2008)

Repo Men is based on a novel by author Eric Garcia, NOT a rip off of Repo! A Genetic Opera. Having watched R!AGO, I call tell you, it's not an experience I'll repeat. Ever. Perhaps it's just because I tend to dislike musicals, but I found the movie extremely painful to watch. I haven't seen the Jude Law movie as yet, but at least I wouldn't have to listen to Paris Hilton sing!

Well I did rent it and I thought it was pretty cool. My wife couldn't get past the first few minutes when they didn't waste any time cutting into his first repo. She wasn't ready for that.

I said to her, "what part of repossessing organs didn't you understand?" :lol

Cool yet bizarre story. Not for everyone, that's for sure.

I did like the twist. Not a mind blowing twist, but cool.

Thumbs up!

The new one with Jude Law and Forrest Whittaker.

I never saw the Estevez version, but looking at IMDB, I don't think this was a remake of that one. Totally different stories/plots.

Wasn't that from Better Off Dead? It was a pine scented air freshener in every car! :lol
****...my bad. Got it mixed up with "Men At Work", where Estevez and Charlie Sheen play garbage men.

But yeah, I know the difference between Estevez's movie and the new Jude Law one.

I rarely say this, but I think the excessive gore took away from this movie. Implied violence can sometimes help a story maintain its pace better than showing every single gruesome shot.
