Replica Revolvers for twirling

I am working on assembling a Lone Ranger costume in the spirit of Clayton Moore. As part of it, I need to get two Colt Single Action Army (Peacemakers). The spec of the guns are 4 3/4" barrels with no front sights. I can keep the front sights if needed, but I'd like to lose it. Ideally, they would be nickel, or be able to be chrome plated (the originals were chrome plated).

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've heard that the Denix are not that sturdy. I would like to get replias that are metal and can withstand some twirling (and potential dropping as I learn).

I appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

Good for you! Glad to hear there are still some Clayton Moore fans. There seem to be plenty of websites for cowboy gear out there. You just need to keep searching for the items you want. I found a few myself, but you're the better judge of what it is you need. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few sites with demonstrations on how to twirl the guns.

front sight can be ground off...however you'd have to get it chromed again....so eithr stick with the sight or get the blue version as you're gonna have to chroe it anywya...should be cheaper...good luck on your quest. I too am a fan of The Lone Ranger and Clayton Moore. GREAT MEMORIES!
