I own a screen used stunt version of Insaniac from Small Soldiers. My figure was used at the end of the movie underneath the satellite laying face down in the grass. Since you never see the front of the figure it never had a necklace made for it or any accessories. So for display purposes I sought out to make a screen accurate replica necklace. I have made three necklaces in total, two of which are I gave to other collectors who helped me out and I lost my personal copy while preparing to move. I have to remake mine so I figured I would make a build thread with photos of what I have done already and cover my first attempts until I get a replica I am fully satisfied with.
Here is my original figure

Insaniac's necklace is fairly simple with only three components to it. All it has is a gorgonite pendant, fossilized teeth or claws, and beads.

Since I own an Archer and Slamfist from the movie I was able to make a mold of the gorgonite emblem and make a replica. I used polymer clay for the materials as that is what I am most comfortable using due to my limited experience. This was my first attempt at it.

My first pendants were done in an antiqued bronze based off of the production photo above. But for my final necklace I will be doing it a dark grey and rub it with black to weather it a bit. The screen used pendants are a greyish black with a green skull in the middle. I won't bother with the green skull for now unless I decide to build a light up version.
The next component to the necklace are the teeth. I originally attempted to sculpt them on my own but failed miserably. Lucky enough I came across another collect who owns the rod puppet as well as the SoftGarage replica Insaniac. He was kind enough to lend me his necklace from the replica Insaniac which was cast off of the original. I made a mold of the teeth and made replica's used tan polymer clay which I later painted to match the screen used necklace.

Here is a photo showing an original screen used figure and necklace on the left and my replica necklace on the right to compare the original teeth and the replicas.

The last important part of the necklace are the beads. It took me some trial and error to figure out the correct color. But after much research it turned out to be a matte bronze finish but I am still looking for the correct bead size. I tried 11/0 seed beads but they turned out too small. I just ordered some new beads size 8/0 so hopefully they are the right size. Here is my final results from my first attempt. The size of the beads are wrong but that is something I will be fixing soon. I will also be doing another pendant and updating it.

-update-
I finally got all my materials in the mail and am very happy with the final results. I ended up using trans clay and the green color is slightly off due to the lighting and I was a little impatient when baking the translucent clay. The longer you bake it the clearer it gets but I couldn't wait to finish it so I took it out early. I do have one where the skull is much more translucent.
