Recreating the 'Aliens' hive wall

Hey all!

I have a project I am in the middle of and part of it involves recreating part of the hive from Aliens.

I am thinking chicken wire screwed onto the wooden frame and then cans of expanding foam then latex covered but
any other tips on how to create a realistic hive are welcomed! Such as for slime etc

We have the eggs and facehuggers sorted and the Alien of course

A sneak peak of one section. We ran out of foam and only had a drop of latex while awaiting arrival of more so I tested it on an area (its far from finished)

Bare in mind this is a small part of a 10 meter long set. Still looking for hints on how to get the wet slime hanging from it

Nice! Sounds like a cool project. For slime, I've used clear silicone caulk mixed with a bit of food coloring then spread it. It worked well for my Ghostbusters flight suit, giving it a wet appearance but completely dry. Good luck!
