She is looking for info on what material might have been used for these guys. There is some speculation as to whether it's light grey, or tan, or even light camouflage depending on how the photos are interpreted.
Looking for info/ opinions or specs! Have a look:

My gut reaction is tan, and that the camo/ mottling is just a result of zoomed-in screencap. Any ideas or info you all have would be greatly appreciated.

I did a custom 12" figure of one of these guys years ago- in my research, I took the color to be something between an off-white and beige (leaning more toward off-white), with some weathering and 'dirt' to darken it just a bit. Remember, these guys are the Rebel grease-monkeys, so they shouldn't be wearing pristine suits no matter what color you choose. If it were me, I'd also add a couple misc. tools to the costume. Maybe a pair of those lighted batons for directing the ships at lift-off! Great fun at conventions!

They are grey.

They've been weathered to look dirty, but it is the same grey suit that the Imperial techs wear, in fact in a few Yavin scenes you can see where the Imp cog used to be on the upper arm.

I am pretty sure that they also re-used them for the AT-AT pilots in ESB.

The belt is the same as the X-Wing pilot belt, only in drab. The Magic of Myth X-Wing pilot is wearing one.

My first instinct is that they are a much 'warmer' (browner) color than the ATAT Driver or Scanner crew jumpsuits. HOWEVER, considering the colors of the lighting in the relative locations (cooler/blues in the Death Star and on Hoth, more warm/brown/earth-tone in the Yavin Base), I think you've nailed it- they are very likely the same suits.

I think the light gray jumpsuit with just enough 'dirt' would be perfect.

Also, keep in mind that the DVD and the HD broadcasts (same source as the DVD) have screwed-up colors.
If you need a screen shot for a color reference, then the best recent source would be the '06 DVDs which included the original versions.
Fan-editors who mix material from the DVD's with the original versions to make Han shoot first, etc. but in better quality often find that they have to adjust the color of the DVD footage a whole lot to make it match with the old.
