Rebel Pilot Helmet

I have been working on a rebel pilot project for a while now and I finally have it finished. The helmet is an exact mold of an APH6 helmet I acquired a few years ago. I am looking for criticism as I strive for perfection.

Looks cool. I like the Jansen X wing helmet design!
My only critique would be the hand painted black lines. Use masking tape for those to make them cleaner. Or if you paint on the raw white styrene, you can actually scrape away imperfections. I am not a great painter and tend to hide my 'mistakes' with weathering.

I love aph helmets. I keep hoping to acquire one. Post up a show off pic of your aph next to the x wing one!

I love helmets. That's awesome! Funny that it has the Grateful Dead sticker. I hand paint a lot of my details using a combination of masking and electrical tape. I also cut out my own templates but I cannot for the life of me figure out the sliced onion. I made a sticker but have never liked them. Did you paint yours? I like it.

I did paint it on. I used pinstriping tape to get straight thin lines. It was a huge pain in the ass to do the sliced onion but I am happy with how it came out. I also would suggest looking into liquid masking products. Thats how I do alot of my weathering like on my fett helmet that can be seen here. Home - Wolfsbane Studio
