This is for sure my favorite, well, set-piece I have.

When BSG finished it's final season Edward James Olmos's love for the First Cylon War painting made him bug the production crew enough for a run of canvas prints to be made for the cast & crew.

I managed to get my hands on one of these (each numbered and signed by the artist) and brought it to the local ComicCon last year where Olmos was a guest.
He just spread it on his table and had a good, deep emotional look at it for a few minutes before signing it... the sharpie exploded halfway... upside is he tried to wipe it clean, so I now have his thumbprint too, haha!

but, yeah, I absolutely cherrish this piece, and am planning on having it properly mounted and framed.

The only other props I'd say are truely rare would be the screen-used deathsuit of Tori in the season finale of BSG. I'm taking good care of it, but I'm contemplating finding a better home for it where it'll be appreciated more.

this is my rarest prop allthough not my grail (deckard screen accurate blaster), it is a scaled down neon light from blade runner. the symbol stands for origin, you can referance the size compared to the other items, haha not my tv cause its huge, i cant get any better shots of the colour due to the camera picking up some distortion but i guarantee it is beautiful and the colours are accurate

Amazing!

I have two reconstruction masks from vanilla sky. One is finished and painted, the other was not finished.

I got them from a prop auction that had some of the masks used to test eye size and paint colors. There were a few finished painted masks.

Have to say, my replica Varon-T from TNG - The Most Toys is the main item I've got that qualifies. Only now does it occur to me that I don't think I have pics.

I have a replica 1/2 scale leg lamp from the movie A Christmas Story. It was Darren McGavins 'major award' that he won, much to the chagrin of his wife. Love that movie!

Probably my custom LOST Dharma Swan Station computer.

Screen-cap from an old YouTube video:

My computer crashed some months ago and the code now only exists on three 5 1/4" floppy disks; making it rare even for me.

Somewhat unrelated. Here's a YouTube video of kids reacting to an Apple II - I basically had the same reaction when I first got this computer: http://youtu.be/PF7EpEnglgk

love it!!

I own a hero Arborian crossbow from Flash Gordon (1980). To my knowledge it is the only extant hero crossbow and may have been the only one ever made but it is hard to say as a hero crossbow appears twice in the film. It is tentatively but not definitively screen matched to the one used by Timothy Dalton as Prince Barin. I will get photos soon.

Hands down the best thing I own as far as movie stuff. The replica proton pack I made a few years ago. It IS my grail item. About the only thing that could top that off at this point is a delorean converted to look like the DMC time machine. But that is never going to happen.

my replica 'Marko' jacket from the lost boys (1987) took me about a year and a half to identify, track down and pillage to get it to this point! all original tapestries. a few original patches but most were recreated.

THAT is completely bad ass!!! I have never seen one replicated to this degree and I love that jacket! Very well done, sir!

For me, "rare" is a relative term. I have many "rare" items in my collection, but honestly, most aren't all that interesting. I own one of Daniel Craigs screen used Bond tuxedo's, but lets face it...it still just a tuxedo and looks quite boring on display.
With that being said for me, I have to go with my ALIEN Nostromo bio suit made by stephen210 and his wife Danita. Full suit, pack helmet, lights, the works. I know he's made less than 20 with Adam Savage having 3 of them and a very few here on the RPF where able to get one before they stopped making them. It's clearly a showstopper when people come into my prop room.
