Rarest prop replica (or real prop) you own

The rarest item I own is definitely this segment of the Stargate. It's the original of the SG-1 series, and it's the firs one after the main locking chevron. There are only 9 in the world and a few of them have been sold again separately in pieces. For now it's in a museum for 6 months in Belgium.

(Doesn't count, not finished yet) In a few month we should achieve the only Stargate replica made from original pieces in the world.

A stargate in Geneva goes pretty well with that other big circular thing the people at CERN has ;) :lol
Would love to have a full size gate, but that would require a HUGE "prop room" :p

I own an X-Files Fox Mulder FBI badge :) $(KGrHqJHJFMFJIP9ZH2WBS,bgDl3kg~~60_57.JPG
I'm thinking also of buying an alternative FBI wallet like this one.

my replica 'Marko' jacket from the lost boys (1987) took me about a year and a half to identify, track down and pillage to get it to this point! all original tapestries. a few original patches but most were recreated.

Just over-the-top cool...!

People are strange...

It is a replica. Very well printed and the wallet very well tailored. Expensive enough. In my opinion, the wallet could be better regarding the materials and design and the gold-painted badge is not so well-made. I recently bought a new wallet with a perfect metal badge from ebay, the wallet is not X-Files style, however I love the material they used and I wish I could find something like that in the X-Files style.

Your wallet and badge is most likely the replica sctcarts was / is offering. The resin badge is a cast from a screen used badge, though. I was lucky to obtain a metal, production used badge, and it's almost identical (resin on the left, production made on the right);

The badges in the X-Files have "Justice Department" on top and "Federal Bureau of Investigation" on the bottom. These badges were custom made by a certain company (If I remember correctly, a Canedian company), especially for the series. No other FBI badge has the text on the same place. So I guess sctcarts badge is the most accurate you can get... the other badge you have, is not accurate to the series at all.

Re: Rarest prop replica you own

The rarest replica props I own are ones that I've made myself as one offs.

Puckmerrin from Flight of the Navigator (never seen this done by anyone else):

Baby Krite from Critters 4 (never seen this done by anyone else):

Scale model of the Maitland's house from Beetlejuice (never seen this done by anyone else):

Shrunken Head Guy bust from Beetlejuice (this was created from a resin head cast, but I've never seen another of the resin heads finished, and I've only ever seen one other bust of this guy):

Loved Flight Of The Navigator when i was a kid.. Awesome prop bud ✌

Mmm... I admit that I am not sure about the details of the metal FBI badge on The X-Files. I took a peak on my files and I found various images regarding the badge. It is possible that the badge changed during the 9 season run of the series. They have changed the wallets and the IDs inside the wallets. On Season 10 the screen-used metal badge has Federal Bureau of Investigation on top. So... Anyway. Maybe the original X-Files metal FBI badge has "Federal.." on the bottom. If the replica is badly made it doesn't matter so much, I find that the other badge looks definitely better.

Oh, mate. Please don't mention season 10. That's not the X-files. Let's hope they never make any more episodes, because season 10 was awefull...

The content of the wallet (the printed stuff) is different in the opening credits, than what is seen in the series itself, that's for sure. But throughout the series (season 1 - 9) the actual metal badge was always the same as far as I know...

The pics you posted of the wallets with the other badges (but with the images of Mulder and Scully from the first 9 seasons), are pictures of replica wallets with inaccurate badges.

It might be that you think the other badge looks better, but this is a replica forum. So how accurate it is to the original prop, is more important than how "nice" it looks...

Working in the costume & prop business, I never "Collected" props or costumes, although I did manage to keep a few things along the way. But my favorite, "rarest" piece is one of a kind. It's the Astronaut, Dave Scott's Apollo 15 "cobra cable". This cable carried his communications and bio information while in the command module on their trip to the moon in 1971.

Jaws Replica Fighting chair..The chair in the movie of course had the chrome plated bronze seat and backrest replaced with wood.I guess they thought the chrome look was to flashy. As it sits, this thing weighs about 150 LBS and is all original.Ive only seen maybe 2 or 3 of these over the years and I believe this is only one that is complete. The others were missing either the foot rest or pedestal

My replica Harry Potter's SS/CoS wand. I've only seen less than a handful of other replica Harry Potter's wand from those early movies.

As for costuming, AFAIK, I'm the only one I that I know of that has completed a Roland Tembo costume complete with original Willis & Geiger Hemingway jacket and Akubra hat:
