Planning a bit ahead, I am looking to get some rare earth magnets to use on my IM helmet.
I read a post that said you can use magnets that are 1/8" thick by 1/4" round
I am seeing magnets that are 3/16 thick by 1/4" round on Amazon, etc. and i am wondering if that is sufficient? I want to minimize the space used inside the helmet as much as possible but wanted to make sure that a magnet that is 3/16" thick will still give me as good of a grip or surface area to work with (i assume they are mounted thin edge to thin edge and not broad face to broad face?) so perhaps a 1/8" thickness is better?
All magnets I am looking at are grade N48 fo high magnetization
