Rare Earth Magnets

Planning a bit ahead, I am looking to get some rare earth magnets to use on my IM helmet.
I read a post that said you can use magnets that are 1/8" thick by 1/4" round

I am seeing magnets that are 3/16 thick by 1/4" round on Amazon, etc. and i am wondering if that is sufficient? I want to minimize the space used inside the helmet as much as possible but wanted to make sure that a magnet that is 3/16" thick will still give me as good of a grip or surface area to work with (i assume they are mounted thin edge to thin edge and not broad face to broad face?) so perhaps a 1/8" thickness is better?

All magnets I am looking at are grade N48 fo high magnetization

If you are in the state's..... I always order all of my RE magnets from KJ Magnetics... They are cheap and have just about anything you would ever imagine... And they are also located in PA which is great for me... Lol

I wound up ordering from Apex Magnets. They have an Amazon.com store and i got free 2-day shipping for free.

What is the best way or adhesive to attach the magnets?

I've used super glue on mine before and it works alright.
Be careful with the thin magnets because they tend to break apart.
