Sorry to hear that Julie Adams has passed, although at 92 she enjoyed a good, long life. Julie was one of those character people that you'd recognize her lovely face without necessarily knowing her name. Her acting resume is as long as the phone book; she was a staple of 1950s/60s films and appeared in countless TV shows including a recurring role in Murder She Wrote.
On screen she costarred with everyone from Elvis to John Wayne, but, of course, is immortalized as the object of affection of The Creature from the Black Lagoon. I'm sure she landed the role because she looked like a million in a bathing suit, but I always thought she brought something genuine to the character and provided an anchor to what otherwise could have been just another goofy 50s monster film (still the best monster suit).
