Noooo, what a shame. Airwolf got me through the 80's along with knight rider and the A team.

R.I.P. Stringfellow. You where The Worlds Greatest Athlete....... and one hell of a Surfer.

It is weird, but I saw this news today and I thought to myself, "didn't he pass years ago?". I guess after his amputation and other health scares, I just assumed he passed.

Totally one of my 80's shows I watched as a kid!

(man.. what was the other 'helicopter' show around the same time? blue something?...hmmmmm..)

When I was doing investigations, my aliases sometimes were Stringfellow Hawke, Colt Seavers, Milton Hardcastle, and sometimes Korben Dallas when I checked into a hotel. Good times.

You're not also thinking of Simon and Simon as well, are you? They used a big a$$ Sikorsky quite often on the show.

No.. It wasnt Simon and Simon.. I was a little to young to appreciate that series at the time.. (by a couple years or so)..

It was Blue Thunder (but I thought it was a TV show as well.. not just a movie)....

I remember him best in "Winds of War" , or at least I think he did his best work in that. Watched some "Airwolf" the other day and wondered what had happened to him. So it was very sad to read today that he had past some weeks ago, and just how his life had gone. Its turning out to be one of those weeks again for fame and falling stars. RIP

Yup, there was a TV show. Only 11 episodes were made before the show got canned.
