Quick question about Denix gun replicas

I'm thinking about picking up a denix flintlock Gentleman's pocket pistol and I want to do some alterations to the grip.
According the the description it says the grips are made of real wood....I just want to get confirmation before I start filing the handle and discover it's simply white resin under wood colored paint.
Are the denix grips made of real wood or resin?

Some are wood and other's are resin.

Off the top of my head I think the flintlock's are generally wood, but I can't swear to it..

I own a bunch of the Colt Peacemaker replicas and the handles are definitely wood.
Also, their Colt double barrel shotgun, Winchester, and Henry rifles all use wood.
Some of their model revolvers have white and black grips, those ones are plastic.

Also, the small crossbow they sell has a wooden handle.

The Denix 'Pocket Navy' could possibly have resin handles. I'm not sure. I thought they were wood, but based on the way it's painted, I cannot see any wood grain. They might be resin, but could be wood. I'm not sure about that one. It's a nice piece though. Reminds me of the way the Walter PPK feels snug in your hand.
Denix
Actually, in the picture on the Denix site, it looks like there is a wood grain, but not on mine.

Thanks for the info...BTW, this is the one Im talking about -

According to one site, it says it's a wood handle...Another site says it's made of "English hardwood", and another site says it's made of faux wood.

Two say it's wood and one says it's fake wood....??

I used to sell a few Denix products. I don't recall any of them using hardwood. On some items, they use resin. To me, one of the most annoying aspects of Denix products is the construction. They are so poorly made, even the website says "Avoid excessive dry-firing as this may cause breakage." Some items are better quality than others, but overall, they are horrible. The swords/knives are much worse than the guns.

I think that one is NOT wood.
For the price they sell at, I don't think Denix would put that much work into engraving a real wooden handle.

They look good on a fast glance but I can also confirm the quality problems. I have a Colt Peacemaker which was OK for that price and considering that it is hard in some countries to get even gun replicas through customs clearance. But the problem are moving parts like the ejector which doesn't hold very well. One day it broke even while I never used it. It just broke when I took the colt out of my holster.
:unsure

I heard similar things from others too and since then I am really careful with their pieces (I also own a Winchester). Regarding wood, both of my pieces have wood handles. But it's also not the best quality and the paint or whatever they used to darken it, rubs of if you grib it more often and it gets lighter spots from your hand.
