Greetings! I have a pair of red coveralls that are 100% cotton for my B-wing pilot project that I would like dye a darker shade of red but I'm not entirely certain what the best way to go about dyeing them would be. I've tried looking it up online but didn't really find all that much information about it. What kind of dye would be best for doing something like this and how would I go about trying to dye them?
Also, the coveralls have black Velcro sewn on... Would it hurt to leave the Velcro on when I dye the coveralls or would the Velcro have to be removed?
I have another pair of red coveralls that aren't the right size so I thought I could to some test dyes on that, and I also have some material scraps and such. Still, any advice would be appreciated!
