The seven grip discovery was made here just before the MR was released, so it was too late for them to change their version, IIRC.

Yeah, right after the huge Luke ANH debate. Man, that one got a little contentous. A discussion I remember very fondly.

The thing I want to know is how to sand the grips to fit over the endcap...I DESPISE the flare and don't like the leveling it with foam tape painted black technique either.

I imagine it wouldn't be terribly hard with a dremel. I could be wrong though, but I have a number of old grips and a dremel. I'll give it a try and tell you if I think it is easy or not..

Just cause I have to...7 on ANH...6 on ESB Luke as well as Vader...

There are 8 grips on the Obi.
