Quantum Leap: The Movie..

Age shouldn't be a problem as he does age during the series. Remember when he sees his face for the first time in years he's surprised at the grey hairs ?
This could be really good, but more likely to turn into a tiresome soulless CGI effect laiden fare :sick

Age isn't a problem to me, either, even though Bakula himself said at Dragon*Con that they're "getting too long in the tooth" for it. He was probably just being gracious to include himself in that, for it was quite apparent that it was true for Dean Stockwell. We was looking very rough, and had to have someone help him to hobble around. I don't think doing a weekly TV show is realistic for him, I'm sad to say.

I'm sure that while he was being gracious, he was also acknowledging marketing realities. 20+ year later revisits with the same cast (Wild Wild West Revisited, Return of the Man from UNCLE, etc.) have traditionally, at best, been creaky affairs. Action-adventure stories need action.
