Purple goo - need some kinda clear purple goo - Eureka Season 3

Was marathoning Eureka this week since I kinda can't move much, and I decided I wanted to try and make the little "sample" vial of purple goo that was used in the show's 3rd season.

It's kinda clear, no striations or anything, but it does have kind of a glittery effect. For the life of me I can't think of any off the shelf product that is that particular color.

I thought maybe the goop from Warehouse 13, but from what I remember that was mostly translucent, not transparent.

So, anyone know of some product out there that's sorta transparent purple goo? Shampoo, lotion, some kinda automotive stuff?

Maybe try some metallic purple nail polish and mix it with some polish thinner to get the right consistency.

Also, this was back in 2008 or so, so remember it'd have to be something they'd have to find around then if it was an off the shelf product.

Thought about that, but as dumb as it sounds, it really does look like a "off the shelf" product.

No idea why I think that way, but it's stuck in my head for some reason.

Yea, worst case I am going to buy something and try to hardware a way into finishing the project :lol

ok here's how to make your own

purple slime recipe:

in 1 mixing bowl add 1 tea spoon borax mixed with 1 cup of water....stir to dissolve. in separate container mix 1/2 cup of clear elmer's glue with 1/2 cup of water add purple food coloring to desired color. now take the 2 mixing bowls and pour them together in a separate bowl and like magic BAMB....SUPER SLIME OF AWESOMENESS!

I'd suggest it is some kind of body gel. They come in all kinds of colors and degrees of sparkle-ness.......
Maybe a jaunt through Bath & Body works at the mall would yield a match.
If googling, include terms like Plum, Violet, Lavender........scents that would most likely be in the purple family.......

im pretty sure its some kind of axe shower gel. they come in all colors anyway, they are clear, and have bright colors

I'm going with EyeofSauron on the AXE Shower Gel. My girlfriend's mother gives me a different AXE gift set every year (think she's trying to tell me something?) and I know one was a very purple, shiny gel. I'll try to figure out which one.
