I have been a member of this forum for a while now, and have been inspired by MANY of the incredibly talented members to reacquaint myself with my long set aside hobby. At heart, I am a STAR WARS guy, and have a love of "full size" props. I've built ANH and ESB stormtrooper helmets and have armor as well. But, there has ALWAYS been a prop that I could never get around to "committing" to....The ALIENS Pulse Rifle. Either funds were allocated to other projects, or the price was just too steep at the time I was considering buying one.
I have seen probably EVERY amazing pulse rifle photo posted on this site at least twice. And since I recently had a life changing event happen, I decided that life is WAY SHORT and I should get my ***** in gear. So, Im starting over with basic tools (got rid of modeling stuff, things got lost in a move, etc.), and basic skills.
I don't know if this will sit well among the LUCKY owners of full metal PR's...ones with actual Remington and SPAS gear....but, I felt I could end up w/what I want if I bought an "existing" weapon, then modify it and "make it mine".....so I decided on a Matrix Limited Edition Custom Alien Pulse Rifle Airsoft AEG ( Evike.com Airsoft Guns - Airsoft Guns | Evike.com Airsoft Guns - Evike Custom Guns | Evike.com Airsoft Guns - Others | Evike.com Airsoft Guns - <b>Matrix Limited Edition Custom Alien Pulse Rifle Airsoft AEG</b> | ).
I think the thing is great (it IS my 1st PR), it functions well, and seems to be a pretty good STARTING POINT for my mods. I KNOW it's an Airsoft, but it seemed to be the right price for a decent base for a build up.
I have many questions which I will not post ALL of right now, but I do want to know:
1.) If anyone else has the MATRIX PR and if they have modded it at all. I intend on weathering the heck outta this thing and mounting it on a wall mount of some sort.
2.) Any ideas for cool metal stock to mount this thing to a wall? Something along the lines of the HCG model? I need ideas on a material that has an interesting pattern giving it that industrial metal grate look that hasn't been done to death?
3.) Also, can anyone post any new(er) pix of their WALL MOUNTED PR's?
