Prop Search - Mysterious Island

Hello all!

One of my favourite films is Mysterious Island, which was made in 1961 and stars Herbert Lom. Special effects were by Ray Harryhausen. I am looking for a prop seen in the film. Its a brass dish or bowl that is part of the set dressing for the submarine. It looks vaguely victorian. I have been looking for one similar but to no avail. If any of you guys have an idea where to look, I would be most grateful. Thanks!

Tricky, you'll have to scour ebay, best I can do is suggest keywords. That's a brass and glass Compote, but not everyone knows the term so also seatch for pedistal dish or bowl

sorry its mysterious island 1961 nemo's electric gun, any prop photos???

OOPS!!!!! I was thinking Capt. Nemo and added these photos from 20,000 LUTS.
Never seen any pics of the prop from the Harryhausen film

The gun that has been shown is the one used in Disney's 20'000 Leagues Under The Sea. In Mysterious Island, Nemo had a spear although he did not use it. He also shot the giant bird but that was off screen. The prop I had been looking for was a piece of decor in the submarine.

MI was the first Harryhausen film I ever saw, I was 8 or 9 yo and still think its a great, like all of RH's stuff. A coincidence I'm sure, but the electric gun muzzle looks a lot like this from Dalek Camera from Doctor Who, filmed late 1963. It's similar except for an added flare to the muzzle. you can even see the flare has a different shade. Just a coincidence, though, different number of rings. Still makes me wonder as the BBC often bought and recycled props from movies...
