Production made 'Robots' security badge.

I was really glad to grab this 'production made' piece from the 20th Century Fox film 'Robots'. Came complete with COA, It wasn't cheap, but my kids love this film!

Apparently this was made-up with a whole batch of other badges for the hugely successful 2005 movie but was never painted. Once painted (gold) these would have been worn by 'Tim' the security gate guard and by other security personnel throughout the film.

There were live action sequences to the movie? I thought the whole thing was done in CGI...

I was considering painting the badge, but I don't want to damage it - or lose it's considerable value!

The Live-action segments were mixed seamlessly with the CGI, almost impossible to see the join. Similar to LOTR or The Matrix.

I was offered a screen-used Crank head, but it was too rich for my blood.

What? Robots the CGI Dreamworks movie? Had live action sequences in it?
Guess I will try to watch it again!
Neat prop, who knew there was "real" stuff in there!

If you are worried about painting it, it looks like it would be blindingly simple to cast with a tiny amount of rubber and then you could paint the copy and wear it or display it next to the original, etc.

Where'd you get it?

What other props from Robots did they have?

One of my son's favorite films.

Thanks!

I don't really want to give out my source as clearly there's a lot of interest in this piece and I would like to buy all the available props and sell them for a huge premium. ;)

Chaka has just bought my copy and I've managed to get another so looks like I'm onto a winner here Bigjon!

Well, you have fun with those screen-used props from the live action sequences of the Robots movie by Blue Sky. Cheers.

EDIT: Corrected the studio name

This thread is a windup, right?
It's too late for my brain to process...

Managed to get a painted one - this may have been screen-used, or possibly screen seen.

Certainly production used.

Picked up 5.

Whoa, No way!
What an unbelievable find.

"That belongs in a museum!"

I love the scene where you can see Robby and Gort and B9 and others in the background. That was a nice touch!

Any chance of a photo of the back of this, please?
Extreme closeup if possible - I know that during the production of the live-action segments of this movie, the prop house picked up the last available in the UK tins of Humbrol 1138 ( Threepio Gold ) paint to use on the props - and my doubts about it's authenticity would be swept away if I could get a clear image of the sheen and colour of the smooth surfaces of the prop.
Ta.
