Anyone ever make a replica of her original belt. I saw it this weekend and thought how simple it looked in design.

I made one for my wife and another for an rpf member. It's just Tandy Leather materials and some contact cement.

Yeah, and while wearing it she dissed the Falcon.
That one isn't the original belt. It's possibly the one from the end of ESB. It's the one most commonly replicated however due to the abundance of reference photos from the exhibitions.
It was really only once the official DVDs came out that the ANH belt details became apparent.
the ANH belt looks like a softer leather that has been badly painted white with the leather color still showing through and has a row of stitching along the top and bottom.

If I were to go to Tandy Leather, what exactly would I be looking for? Is it a modified belt blank, or is it a strip of leather?

Hoping someone checks this thread I'm currently working on making this belt and have my leather and am using aluminium sheeting for the metal pieces. However, it turns out that no where in my area am I able to obtain white leather dye and I don't have time to wait for an online order to arrive. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to ruin the leather I purchased by trying paint if it's not going to work properly. My other option is to go find a different material and use that for now.
