Preventing mould on wed caly build

Im about to start a full scale sculpt of Slimer form Ghostbusters.

I intend to use WED clay, and have used it before. Its great stuff and very easy to rough out with.

One problem when I did Han was when keeping it moist and covering with plastic, I found that evntually I got mould spores begin to develop.

Is there anything I can do to stop this? I dont expect slimer to be a quick proccess, so will need to keep him going for some time.

Im reluctant to put anything in the spray bottle as I am worried about contaminating the RTV when setting.

Any advice guys??

You've got to add a little bleach to the water (you are spraying it down before covering, right?). Just a small amount.

Yes mate. Im using a normal houshold spray bottle and spraying down before covering.

So just normal houshold bleach? And literally one drop per full bottle of water? Will this be ok with RTV??

Thanks mate, I appreciate you time.

If you have a 250ml bottle, you can easily add up to about 10 ml or so, maybe more but I doubt you need to. I've never heard of anyone having issues with RTV, but maybe wait til you get more word from anyone here or any sculpting forums. I've never molded a WED piece, they've all been 'practice' sort of things for more expensive stuff after.
