Been looking around the net and I have seen that no one has made a costume for this character so far as I know. With some friends already looking to go as Superman and other DC heroes, I am looking to play the villain.
The thing that is the biggest hurdle at the moment is his undersuit mesh thingamajig. My friends are all going in the Nolan-y/ Man of Steel aesthetic, and I am trying to make my costume fit that. The surface texture for Superman and Zod's suit particularly caught my eyes. Getting a material that sells that similar look at least on camera and, furthermore, getting muscle definition to still remain stupidly prominent. I could be as buff as I want, but the minute a suit like that goes on definition goes away.
The actual armor and everything I have a good idea of how to handle, but dealing with the fabrics has me baffled. Having worn Leather Next motorcycle gear from head to toe at SDCC, the temperature was not something I'd like to relive with the Zod jacket and pants... and the ~$400 price tag is another viable reason to trying to figure it out on my own.
