PREDATORS - MOVIE INFO

new trailer.is the dogs danglies.... :) ,cool to see a pack of predator dogs running!!!cool...lee your right the new cloaking does look better,no broken blur image, there look cleaner with no light bending in them..

Yeah the new trailer is to die for..I'm so ready to see this film...Hell, I'm even going as far as getting my nails done for premier night!

Also have you noticed in the screen shot showing the preds bio vision, it looks as though theses new preds have more detailed vision. A human face looks like a human face and not a blob of red.

I think this is more of a case of film making tech moving on, hence the new cloak etc, im sure john mctiernan would have loved the preds vision to look like that but cgi and camera tech simply wasn't up to the task when the original predator was released. Personally, i love the original light bending cloak, but i also look forward to seeing new things on the big screen, i wonder if the classic pred will cloak differently?

hell they could not even get cloaked dreds working in the original hehe, remember the cloaked bald pred walking across the log with fire in the background hehe.

So you think that the issue was simply due the capability or lack there of, of the filming/visual FX dept? That’s cool. I never thought about that. I always though the preds (P1) bio vision was meant to look that way, but I could never understand the reason, I mean, I know that the creature is using alien technology and that the film makers wanted to portray this in the film by making the creature’s bioed and Un-bioed eyes “see” differently.

To me the bio-vision (P1) didn’t come across as much alien as it did jacked up, I thought the P1’s bio Vision was terrible, I always though it could have been better. The only thing worse is when the fella takes off his bio to see.

But yeah, I can’t wait to see what these new preds are going to be capable of tech wise, I’m sure the P1S ( classic) has some new tricks up his sleeve too.
I seriously don’t think we’re going to be disappointed.

Pretty much, im sure this is the case, interesting thought about his vision being intentionally alien however, i suppose that would make sence and is probably why predator still stands up visually even today :) apart from the lack of dreads as Lee said, that sticks out like a saw thumb in both P1 and P2. Im sure we'l see plenty of new things soon

my god! that looks SOOOO ****** awesome!! that has by far, no matter what was revealed, given me more solid hope than anything else! this will kick all our asses all over the place!!

@ lee, and others who are concerned for the whole "BSP head" thing, i was looking at some of those behind the scenes pics and i know he has those ridges towards the back of his head but behind that is a very P1 looking crown, its kinda outta view in the frontal pics due to the slope, but it's there. very curious to see the whole thing...i know it doesn't make it "right" but hopefully maybe it "helps" :)

i am ecstatically ready to go watch the rebirth of our beloved predator series! it's so close!

i always took these things as the hunter being so effective despite it's seemingly "impaired" vision. also, you gotta think the vision in general is 2D on screen but would be 3D to the hunter.

and as far as visual FX dept. advancements, is says roughly in the script that these things were intentionally meant to be more advanced, i know, seams convenient that there are better capabilities now, but nonetheless, these guys are supposed to be more advanced. i know in AVP it was clearer and all but really only took away from it in my opinion, this new vision seams much better than AVP to say the least, and advancement on the original not just "oh, well predators can have different visions, why not make it clearer? bah...i always respected their abilities, despite there impairment, personally.

i do hope that the P1 has a more traditional cloaking system (+ dreds:) that would be awesome!

Yes that looks A LOT BETTER

I am still not sure I like the SBP overall look unmasked, but will wait until I see the movie before giving my final judgement :)

I was going to say... Did you happen to catch this screenshot during the trailer!? I caught it the second time I watched the trailer! I SEE YOU!!!

Too bad Falconer's not in that cloaked pic. That's right, I can even tell which ones they are. Do I get 2 cyber-dollars? :)

Very nice its amazing after all these years we finally have what might be a very good predator film I think I'm about to cry my ass off lol. :)

I was so relieved by that review that it got good ratings especially, maybe now there is a small chance for more Pred movies in the future
