Also have you noticed in the screen shot showing the preds bio vision, it looks as though theses new preds have more detailed vision. A human face looks like a human face and not a blob of red.

So you think that the issue was simply due the capability or lack there of, of the filming/visual FX dept? That’s cool. I never thought about that. I always though the preds (P1) bio vision was meant to look that way, but I could never understand the reason, I mean, I know that the creature is using alien technology and that the film makers wanted to portray this in the film by making the creature’s bioed and Un-bioed eyes “see” differently.I think this is more of a case of film making tech moving on, hence the new cloak etc, im sure john mctiernan would have loved the preds vision to look like that but cgi and camera tech simply wasn't up to the task when the original predator was released. Personally, i love the original light bending cloak, but i also look forward to seeing new things on the big screen, i wonder if the classic pred will cloak differently?

i always took these things as the hunter being so effective despite it's seemingly "impaired" vision. also, you gotta think the vision in general is 2D on screen but would be 3D to the hunter.Pretty much, im sure this is the case, interesting thought about his vision being intentionally alien however, i suppose that would make sence and is probably why predator still stands up visually even todayapart from the lack of dreads as Lee said, that sticks out like a saw thumb in both P1 and P2. Im sure we'l see plenty of new things soon
